Dustpan and Brush
An exercise in re-imagining the coupling of a dustpan and brush in conjunction with Braun Brush Company.
Elevating objects and their value so they are not thrown out so easily or quickly is an approach I apply to all my designs. The throw away culture that is so prevalent troubles me, so this was a great opportunity to apply this notion to something that is generally not something people get excited about: the dustpan and brush.
The way brushes and dustpans often click together is an interesting and practical relationship I wanted to explored. The pair as a single object, but also as two separate objects that have a satisfying interaction.
